Developed for Cape Town’s Quest Rentals, we sourced and secured the site, delivering a fully approved, ready-to-construct project. Our role included day-to-day project management and overseeing the final product. We also provided the client with guidance on finishes, construction quality, energy efficiency, landscaping, and other design and construction aspects.

As recovery began after the 2009 recession, Aquacor was quick to launch investment opportunities, returning to its core market of investor units near the Cape Town CBD. The Factory effectively catered to both the young professional and student markets due to its prime location in Observatory. Many initial sales were made to investors and parents looking to rent to post-graduate students.
First-time buyers were also drawn to the building for its secure layout, gym, laundry facilities, rooftop entertainment area, and stunning panoramic views of the Cape mountains, Cape Town CBD, and Table Bay.

Matthew Quinton
IdearchitectMatthew has been at the helm of Aquacor for nearly 20 years now. Growing up in the property development space, it was inevitable that he would follow in the footsteps of his father and our founder, Arthur Quinton.An avid permaculture practitioner, Matthew sees sustainability and multi-generational living as core to his ethos in property development. Under his guidance, Aquacor branched out from the luxury market into commercial developments, social and affordable housing and large sectional title estates for both private investors and large corporates. Matthew has developed over 20 projects and delivered more than 1,500 residential apartments in his 20 year’s as the company director.
Amanda Searle
IdearchitectAmanda Searle, a qualified Property Practitioner, and head of sales and marketing, joined Aquacor 9 years ago. She has a strong passion for all aspects of the property development space, from deal origination to project development and sales.
Arthur Quinton
1947 - 2014Our beloved founder and inspiration, Arthur Quinton was a pivotal force in Cape Town’s sectional title luxury space from the early 1980’s until his passing in 2014.
